- 10th September 2010: Visit of NATO’s Secretary General, Mr. Andres Fogh Rasmussen, and Spanish Minister of Defence, Ms. Carme Chacón Piqueras.
- 7th October 2010: Visit of the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, General Stéphane Abrial.
- 28th October 2010: C-IED COE First Steering Committee meeting.
- 21st January 2011: Visit of Mr. Patrick Auroy, NATO Assistant Secretary-General Defence Investment (ASG/DI).
- 26th January 2011: Visit of the Minister of Defence of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dr. Selmo Cikotic.
- 27th February 2011: Visit of the Major General Kjell-Ove Skare, NATO ACT HQ, ACOS Programme & Planning Management.
- On 4-5th May 2011, the C-IED Centre of Excellence hosted the second NATO Biometrics Panel. Biometrics is an important capability that needs to be developed within NATO. The first steps were taken last year during the first Biometrics Working Group meeting at SHAPE (Belgium). This year, 42 representatives from 15 countries and agencies like EUROPOL, attended the panel.
Incoming Events:
- The Centre of Excellence intends to conduct and organize a C-IED Lessons Identified Workshop next November. The Workshop scope and objectives would be to common understand and exchange Tactical and Technical Procedures, adapting them to the combat training of the forces and the environment. For that purpose, main actors from NATO and EDA, as well as other allied agencies and countries will be invited.
